What Would You Do With More Budget for Your Benefits?

Written by Brandon Carter | 6/13/17 2:24 PM

Let's use our imaginations for a moment.

Imagine your executive team calling you into a meeting. You know, the big conference room on the top floor with the giant mahogany table and Corinthian leather seats. The Big Leagues.

They have good news for you, they say.

They're doubling your benefits budget. And it's yours to do with as you please.

Their only requirement? Make it count.

Solve big problems, grow the company, boost happiness...whatever you want to do. Pick something and state your case.

What would you do?

What problems would you solve?

Would you just give it back to employees in the form of salary bumps?

Or maybe splurge on some lavish employee perks?

We posed this hypothetical question to our own HR team, and the results were illuminating.

We felt their answers revealed a lot about what benefits are capable of, what organizational problems they can solve, and they type of talent they can attract when they're given full consideration.

Naturally, it made us curious if other benefits pros had the same ideas.

Take This Super-Short Survey and Share Your Benefit Dreams

We put together a simple four question survey that poses a simple question: if you had a bigger budget for benefits, where would you invest it and why?

There are no right or wrong answers. It's just a fun exercise that we think will reveal what we all wish we could do with our benefits if only they had proper funding.

All answers are anonymous, of course. We'll report back on the results in a couple weeks in a blog post, so be sure to subscribe so you get our articles delivered to your inbox.
